Only stopped in for a quick snack after 4 pm but some of the tastiest Mexican food ever, planning to go for lunch next trip into town.
What's with the wrong spelling of the name..? Just curious. A place just opened near me same thing. It must be intentional but why?

Excellent food with a wide range (a whole menu!) of vegetarian options. We tried the chimichanga and California burrito both of which were delicious. Loved their service too, very polite and helpful! Would recommend and definitely visit again.

I had the best experience here on Saturday! We were in town for a gymnastics competition and needed to eat before we went to the venue. We saw Mamasita as we were walking and decided to stop in around 5pm. The restaurant was almost full and we did not have reservations but they said it was no problem and sat us immediately. The hostess, waitress/bar tender, and the owner were all fantastic and went out of the way to make sure everything was going well. When we ordered our food we let them know we were in a time crunch and needed to be to the gymnastics meet. The owner said no problem and rushed our order which was out in less than 10 minutes. The food, drinks, and customer service were amazing. Highly recommend.

Hands down best Mexican in NYC. Absolutely incredible. Margaritas are fresh and not too sweet, food is healthy and delicious with large portions. Happy hour till 7 every weekday. Friendly staff. It’s not easy to find amazing Mexican in the city, but this place has it all. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Very friendly, but charged $40 for 2 margaritas to go. Also, there was one sip where it tasted like a piña colada, and the other 20 sips were pure lime. Sad.... very friendly.

Came here with friends from out of town for my husband's birthday. The margaritas were all delicious and not too sweet. Everyone's food was brought out fast and was really good and fresh. Best Mexican I've had in town! The service was great and I cannot wait to go back!! They also helped us celebrate my husband's birthday and we all had such a blast.

Man was I relieved that the food was so good here after talking about it non stop for three days until we went.I tried to get to one of these spots on my visit last year and didn't manage it. My airbnb this year ended up being around the corner, and thanks to a breakfast menu I managed to work it in!

Outstanding experience. Seated immediately, order taken within minutes of being seated, and the food was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and the chef personally came to greet us. Definitely recommend the fajitas. 10/10

On our way home to MA, we realized we needed brunch. So we drove from back from Queensboro to Manhattan- Mamacita’s Bar and Grill. Due to Covid-19, out door dining is the way to go. The food was great, the server was good and the constant hospitality from both him and the manager trying to accommodate my family including 3 children was exceptional. As we were leaving, the manager saw my son crying. He was extremely children friendly. He asked if he wanted more juice then he took him inside and gave him more juice and to top it off he gave them a lollipop. My children was happy. The guacamole and chips was just perfect. Our meal was well prepared which made me happy because everything was just right. I will definitely come back when we’re in New York because the whole environment was well organized. They served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will definitely recommend especially for large groups. The manager was very welcoming and friendly. I almost forgot we were in New York.

Oh my goodness. For one, Pk, the owner very kind, the hospitality was great , the food was amazing, fresh and hot. DELICIOUS. THE drinks were great as well. I had 2/25 of their margarita flavors. I am definitely stuffed and satisfied. Well worth the money.

Visiting from Florida and so glad I found this place. The taco combo was fantastic, the chips and salsa some of the best I’ve ever had. Wonderful ambiance, too, and friendly wait staff. Highly recommend!

Had the most amazing pork enchiladas!! Place is a bit small, so be prepared to wait in line for a bit. Food quality is excellent, service is super friendly and the owner is right there making sure you're treated the right way and enjoying your food. Their selection of Margarita flavors is remarkable: 25 flavors!Recommended

Pretty tight space, we sat at a small table for 2 and the waiters kept walking over our feet if they were outside the table. Food was okay. The quesadilla was pretty good compared to the enchilada we ordered at least.

I reserved a table online in case it was packed but 13:30 on a Friday afternoon there wasn't much people here that it was needed. I was only meeting my friend here. Anyway the food was really good and so was the frozen margarita there was a lot of flavors to choose from. My issue with the place was that extra chips were an extra $3 and it was very little to begin with to be charged extra for and there was also auto gratuity for a party of only 3. The gratuity i could understand because people don't tip but the extra charge for chips and dip was crazy cuz that was the first time that has ever happened to me at a Mexican restaurant but I'm over it

Great Mexican place for vegetarians! Has a very extensive menu dedicated to vegetarian food and they specifically state they do not use lard, msg, or animal fat in any of their foods. Overall great service and very delicious food. Margarita was superb as well.

a minute agoExceptional service! Amazing food! And most of all, a fun night with fun restaurant staff! We were a party of 8, they seated us immediately, and got us drinks right away. The gentleman that runs restaurant made our experience so fun! Our food was so delicious. From fajitas to salads... and delicious margaritas. The manager/owner was so very friendly, funny, and even treated us to dessert on the house. This is a must eat at if you’re wanting some amazing food, service and staff.

Excellent food with excellent service. We came with a large party and they sat us right away. They made sure to get the kids food out quickly all the while keeping our drinks and chips full. The food came out faster than expected and was fantastic. Definitely recommend.

PK, the owner was so kind and personable. We went at lunch time and he made sure that we were well taken care of. Everything was made fresh and delicious. I’m vegetarian and I was so surprised (pleasantly) that there was a whole page on the menu with a variety of veg and vegan options. I forgot my gloves there and we went back at dinner time and even with it being busy, PK still made sure that we were good. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you want a healthy, authentic and tasty meal and exceptional service.

From VA - visiting my dad. I stopped in for brunch and it was AMAZING!!! Steak & Eggs, rice & beans!!! Everyone was friendly and it’s just a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back before heading home to VA!!

Excellent, fulfilling Mexican food. Quick and freshly made. The very welcoming and friendly owner/chef specially made us Jain food (vegetarian, without onion/garlic). Only Mexican restaurant in the city to accommodate these dietary restrictions. Can't wait to go again!

The food leaves little to say Mexican. The pictures show that this is not the best looking good. There is a lack of seasoning for everything I tried to eat. The beans are boiled, seafood boiled, chicken boiled, boiling food leaves it flavorless.Chicken was dried out. Tasting Much like cardboard. Not very enjoyable.The mojito beverage, was void of lime and mint. Upon request... muttled limes with mint were brought. But an already too sweat drink.. they added more sugar. It was ok at best. Great effort to try and fix the drink.The seafood was watery which soaked the tortilla and made for an played disastrous mess, with runny daisy and imitation cheese on top. Not too enjoyable.

This place is wonderful and was just what we were in need of after touring around all day. The owner, his wife, and daughter, treated us like family. The service was lightening fast, the food was delicious, and the margaritas were magnificent (especially the mango). If you are craving Mexican food and a cozy retreat to recharge your batteries then you have found your perfect spot. I'll definitely be back on my next trip.

I'm giving 5 stars because PK the owner is a phenomenal host! I threw a party/dinner for 40 of my staff members. We had a blast! The service was amazing, food was very good and the drinks even better. PK made the planning of this event a breeze. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a no fuss and enjoyable night out.

Casual place with amazing margaritas!Went here with a couple of friends for margaritas after seeing the reviews and we were not disappointed. They offer over 25 different flavors and are really very good(also very strong). We ordered the grape, peach, passion fruit, watermelon and jalapeño( which was not on the menu but was actually the best of the lot).The service was okay but the seating was very tight. It's a very causal vibe so there's nothing much of an ambience.

Amazing food and great service. I am a vegetarian and the meal was soo flavorful and tasty. Mexican food for veggies is usually just a bunch of cheese - not the case here. Lots of veggies, cheese, sauces, flavor. Highly recommend! Even with a full house, the service was fantastic and very friendly.

First of all, that salsa and chips (on the house) was bomb! I'll go back just for the salsa! For food got quesadillas and it was all reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chill spot for a drink and good eats.

Excellent, excellent. All our 3 meals were done to perfection. 2 were vegitarian, and out of this world. Sangaria and margarita's were perfect. We had just finished shooting music videos and it was a very relaxing and comfortable venue. Loved it.

Had a nice dinner here with friends on a Friday evening. Not too loud, pleasant bustle and good spot by the corner. Ordered veggie chilaquiles and enjoyed them good portions!
